About
The Bethlehem Business Women's Club was chartered in 1951 as The Bethlehem Business and Professional Women's Club and was a member of the New York State Federation of Business and Professional Women.
The purpose of the club was to create a place where area business women could gather to further their special interests and, as a group, participate in community activities. Club functions were formal at first. Members often attended meetings, teas, and special events attired in hats and white gloves.
In 1960, the club separated from the Federation feeling that club monies would be better spent within the local community. The name of the club was then changed to Bethlehem Business Women's Club (BBW). The Club was incorporated as a New York not-for-profit corporation in 2012.
Today's far more informal BBW is comprised of local area women of all ages with diverse backgrounds and interests. You do not need to be in business or employed to be a member. Our members are people who are interested in giving back to our local community, the residents of the Town of Bethlehem, through participation in the activities outlined on our Homepage.
